Privacy & code of conduct
How EAG Matcher handles attendee data.
Main disclosure
EAG Matcher is an independent, attendee-built tool for finding people to meet. It uses the attendee data sheet (the same profile information shown in Swapcard) and the intent or profile details you enter to suggest 1:1 connections. Ranking inputs are processed by the configured Anthropic or OpenAI API; EAG Matcher has no separate database, while your browser keeps the current shortlist for this tab's session.
Opting out
Excluding yourself from the attendee sheet keeps your profile out of other attendees' EAG Matcher results. If you enter your details manually, they are used only for your own search and are not added to the attendee list.
Code of conduct: the criteria this tool meets
- 1
Link-gated attendee access
The attendee sheet is configured on the server and is available only after the event's Google Sheet link starts a signed browser session.
- 2
Networking purpose only
It's for finding people to meet at the event, nothing else.
- 3
No EAG Matcher database
The service has no separate attendee or search-history database. Your shortlist and its bookmark, hidden, and opened marks are kept in this browser tab's session storage so a refresh does not lose them.
- 4
No redistribution of the data
Sharing the tool with fellow attendees is fine; passing the attendee data to anyone who didn't already have it, or to other orgs/products/datasets, is not.
- 5
No enrichment or re-identification
It doesn't combine the data sheet with outside or sensitive data.
- 6
API-based AI processing
Relevant attendee profiles and the details you provide are sent to the configured AI API (Anthropic or OpenAI) to produce the ranking. They are not sent through a consumer chat interface; provider retention is governed by the API account's terms and settings.
- 7
Reads the live data sheet
It reads the configured attendee sheet and may reuse an in-memory server copy for up to five minutes to avoid repeatedly fetching the same sheet.
